To determine if you meet the income guidelines for the Energy Saver North Carolina program, you’ll need to compare your household income to the Area Median Income (AMI) limits based on your household size. Here’s how it works:
If Your household income is
LESS than 80% of Area Median Income (AMI),
you are eligible to receive a 100% Rebate. This includes a full rebate on project costs, up to $16,000 for HOMES projects and up to $14,000 for HEAR projects.
If your household income is between 80% and 150% of the AMI, you can get a 50% rebate on project cost, up to a range of $2,000 to $14,000.
To determine your eligibility:
• Find your household size on the AMI chart.
• Check the corresponding income limit for 80% of the AMI.
• Compare your annual household income to this limit.
